JoyQuay lines up five free-to-start team games like huts on a quay. Each hut says how many play on a team, how long a match takes, which devices run it and how old the youngest player should be. Pick a hut, or let the planner pick for tonight.
The five huts
The colours follow the huts in the photo. Each card gives the team size, the length of a usual match, the devices and the age rating.
The shortest matches on the quay, on the device everyone already carries.
Slapstick races for up to four, on almost every console and PC.
Five a side, a strict ten-minute clock, Switch and phones together.
Any device in the room can join, from a phone to a PS5.
Three friends, one bank vault, and walls that do not stay up.
Match length
Thick bars show the main mode. The outlined bar under it shows a shorter mode where one exists. Lengths marked est. are our own sums of published round timers.
Crew size
A pair, a trio and a team of four or five want different games. Each dot is one player on a team.
A trio is the classic size. Brawl Stars and THE FINALS are both built around teams of three.
Four friends fill a Fall Guys or Fortnite squad. A fifth has to queue alone or split the group.
Five is a full Pokémon UNITE team, the only game here where five on one side is the normal match.

Mixed crews
Since 2026, European age ratings weigh what a game sells as well as what it shows. Two of the friendliest-looking games here carry PEGI 16 on UK storefronts because they sell items with random contents. The list runs from the lowest rating to the highest.
Planner
Four answers. The list reorders and each line says which mode fits and why.
Head to head
Both look friendly and both carry PEGI 16 on European storefronts because they sell paid random items. Brawl Stars is phones only with matches under four minutes; UNITE adds the Switch and a fixed ten-minute 5v5 with lanes.
Compare →Same Epic account, same parental controls, both on nearly every device. Fall Guys is slapstick with no weapons; Fortnite asks more, and both cap a team at four.
Compare →Two shooters with very different crews in mind. Fortnite reaches phones and the Switch and has Zero Build; THE FINALS is PC, PS5 and Xbox only, and a Cashout can last half an hour.
